To this amateur's eye, Jack's strengths are his colour coordination, rugged and beautiful outback scenes, night paintings of trappers and other bush workers in their camps, an eye for detail, the detailed miniature figures of bush labourers, stock and wildlife against the vast backdrop of the Australian outback.Jack also has an interesting opals collection with most pieces for sale from ear studs for $50 to a magnificent opal pendant for $30,000. The garden in front of Jack's studio is one of the prettiest in Broken Hill.
